NCC Bank as lead bank organized School Banking Conference-2023 at Narsingdi on Saturday (07/10/2023) as per guidelines of Financial Inclusions Department of Bangladesh Bank. About 250 students and 25 teachers of different School have participated with joint initiative of 47 schedule banks of the Narsingdi district.
Md. Abul Bashar, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank inaugurated the conference as chief guest. Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, Managing Director & CEO of NCC Bank presided over the ceremony while Md. Mahbub Alam, Deputy Managing Director of NCC bank deliver welcome speech. Besides, Md. Mobarul Islam, District Education Officer of Narsingdi, Md. Habibur Rahman, President of Press Club and Md. Tanbir Ehsan, Deputy Director of Bangladesh Bank were also present as special guests. Managers of different schedule Banks, Teachers & Guardians of different schools of Narsingdi District attended the conference.
Md. Abul Bashar, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank said, school banking activities are being conducted aiming to involve different level of people in the financial sector. He expressed hope that this conference will play a significant role in ensuring the economic independence of future generation by developing the habit of savings at student life. Finally, he thanked the NCC bank authorities for successfully conducting the conference as lead bank.
Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, Managing Director & CEO of NCC Bank said, Bank has organized School Banking Conference-2023 at Narsingdi as a part of nationwide school banking activities with the pledge “Start the habit of savings at early age”. NCC bank conducting this activities from the beginning as per instruction of Bangladesh Bank. He added that, at present NCC bank has 21,884 School Banking account having deposit amount Tk. 63 Crore which will play an important role in the economy of the country.
Md. Mahbub Alam, Deputy Managing Director of NCC bank said, small savings of students at early age is a rock solid investment of good future. So, everyone should participate in banking activities from students life. He hopes that, this school banking conference will go further through this conference.
