NCC Bank has distributed agricultural materials at free of cost among 550 marginal farmers at Monohardi, Narsingdi as part of its special corporate social responsibility to increase agricultural production and conducted Financial Literacy activities. Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun MP & Minister of Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh attended the ceremony as chief guest while Md. Mahbub Alam Deputy Managing Director of NCC Bank presided over the ceremony. They distributed various types of seeds, fertilizer & pesticides among marginal farmers of Narsingdi Sadar, Palash, Shibpur, Belabo, Raipura & Monohardi Upazila on Saturday (21/10/2023). Md. Azizur Rahman Deputy Director of Narsingdi Agriculture Extension Department, Md. Rezaul Karim Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Monohardi & Upazila Agriculture Officer Runa Akther were also present on the occasion as special guest. Besides, Md. Monirul Alam SEVP & Company Secretary & Md. Ghalib Asadullah VP & Head of Security & Logistics of NCC Bank, Md. Rezaul Islam renowned businessman and Sadikur Rahman Shamim Chairman of Sukandi Union Parishad along with Managers & Officers of Narsingdi & Madahabdi Branch of NCC Bank were also present in the ceremony.

Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun MP & Minister of Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh considered this agriculture material distribution as great initiative of NCC Bank on the call of Hon’ble Prime Minister and said that marginal farmers of Narsingdi districts will be benefited through these activities and it will be helpful to develop the economic condition of the farmer of this area also.

Deputy Managing Director of NCC Bank Md. Mahbub Alam said that NCC bank is working for food security of our country as announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister. In this continuation NCC Bank is supporting to the marginal farmers to cultivate single inch of land across the country as a part of social responsibility. He hoped that NCC Bank will play a vital role for providing agricultural machinery along with advance technology equipment to the farmers at free of cost as well as agricultural research work and preservation of produced agricultural products to develop our total agricultural production in near future. He added that Bank also conducted financial literacy activities to include underprivileged & marginal people in the financial sector as per direction of Bangladesh Bank.
