NCC Bank celebrated "International Women's Day-2024" at its head office. Sohela Hossain, Vice-Chairman of the Bank grace the occasion as chief guest and Tanzina Ali, Director & former Vice-Chairman of the Bank inaugurated the event by cutting a cake with other female officials of the head office. M. Shamsul Arefin, Managing Director & CEO (C.C.) of NCC Bank presided over the ceremony while Md. Mahbub Alam & Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan, Deputy Managing Directors, Md. Monirul Alam, SEVP & Company Secretary, Mohammed Mizanur Rahman FCA, SEVP & CFO, Mohammed Anisur Rahman, SEVP & CIO, Md. Shafiqure Rahman, SEVP & Manager of Kawranbazar Branch, Mohammad Ridwanul Hoque, EVP & Head of Retail & SME Business, Syed Hasnain Mamun, Head of Human Resources Division, Nighat Mumtaz, Head of Women’s Banking Unit, Sanjeeda Ismail Chaudhuri, Manager of Sonargaon Janapath Road Branch & Shahin Akter Nuha, Head of Cash Management Department of NCC Bank along with other Senior Executives were also present on the occasion. Other female officials along with female customers of Dhaka city branches participated in the program.

Sohela Hossain, Vice-Chairman  & Director of the Bank emphasizes women’s empowerment and said that since its very inception, NCC Bank has been working to create a conducive environment and specialized opportunities for women officers. The Bank is committed to safeguarding women officials and eliminating any form of harassment to create a women’s friendly working atmosphere for them.

Tanzina Ali, Director & former Vice-Chairman said that at present female officials in the banking sector are showing enough capabilities and improving efficiency in their initiatives. She added that women’s empowerment is essential for long term sustainable economic development including the banking sector as well as the overall development of the country. Our collective achievements will be disrupted if half of the population e.g. women are left behind.

Managing Director & CEO (C.C.) of NCC Bank said that women officials should come forward and show their efficiency in handling technology based services such as mobile banking & Artificial Intelligence as well as to take challenges like Marketing & Sales jobs in the Banking sectors.  Banking sector will be benefited as women’s bankers will take these challenging opportunities and move forward.
